China Dialectics of Nature Research Association was established in the early days of reform and opening up. It was proposed by economist Mr. Yu Guangyuan and scientists such as Zhou Peiyuan and Qian Sanqiang. It was approved at the National Dialectics of Nature Planning Conference held on December 12, 1977 and declared by China Association of Science and Technology. On January 2, 1978, the then incumbent Vice Chairman Deng Xiaoping and eight deputy prime ministers, including Fang Yi, approved the approval. On January 16, 1978, the Preparatory Committee was established with the consent of the China Association for Science and Technology. After more than three years of preparation, it was formally established in Beijing on October 30, 1981. The first chairman is Yu Guangyuan, and the vice-chairmen are Zhou Peiyuan, Lu Jiaxi, Li Chang, Qian Sanqiang, Qian Xuesen and Zhong Lin. The competent business unit of the China Dialectics of Nature Research Association is the China Association for Science and Technology. The meeting place of the research institute is located in Beijing. The previous directors are: Yu Guangyuan, Gong Yuzhi, Zhu Xun and Wu Qidi. Currently, it is the 7th Council.
