In recent years, with the rapid development of social economy and the continuous expansion of the intensity and depth of human development of the natural environment, the problems caused by climate change, sharp reduction of biodiversity, environmental pollution, land desertification and so on have led to the enhancement of ecosystem sensitivity, the weakening of anti-interference and adaptability, and the difficulty of recovery after damage. Vulnerable habitats are more sensitive to external disturbances and less adaptable due to their weak system anti-interference ability, strong spatio-temporal fluctuation, significant edge effect and high environmental heterogeneity.
In recent years, the research on ecosystem vulnerability mainly involves the evaluation and management of ecosystem vulnerability. Including the analysis of the connotation and essence of ecosystem vulnerability based on the physical, chemical and biological processes of the ecosystem and the quantitative assessment of ecosystem vulnerability based on the spatial and regional perspectives. As one of the cores of the ecosystem, the theoretical framework of the maintenance mechanism of biodiversity in fragile habitats is still weak. In order to obtain a comprehensive and perfect theory on the maintenance mechanism of diversity in fragile habitats, we should persist in studying the interaction mechanism between various factors and species diversity, diversity and ecosystem function comprehensively and deeply from different temporal and spatial scales and different object levels.
