Brief Introduction of Speaker: He graduated from the Department of Construction and Engineering of Tsinghua University in January 1977 and later worked in a factory of the Ministry of Nuclear Industry. In October 1978, he was admitted to the Master's and Doctor's Graduate Classes of the Department of Construction and Engineering of Tsinghua University (later joined the Department of Thermal Energy). In 1985, he received a doctor of engineering in engineering thermophysics. After that, he successively taught in the Department of Thermal Energy and the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University. He was employed as an associate professor in 1988 and a professor in 1991. He was elected an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2001. In 1988, he went to Britain to work in the British Institute of Architecture for one year. He has participated in many international cooperation projects under IEA ECBCS Agreement (International Energy Agency, Energy Conservation of Building and Community Systems), such as Annex21, Annex25, Annex34, etc. Currently, he is the Chinese representative of ECBCS Council, the co-host of Annex53 and the host of Annex59.

& nbsp; In 2005, Tsinghua University Building Energy Efficiency Research Center was established as its director. At present, he is a member of the Energy Advisory Expert Committee of the State Council, a member of the China Climate Change Expert Committee, and a member of the writing group of Chapter 9 (Building Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction) of Volume III of the 5th Edition of the IPCC.

& nbsp; The main research field is building energy conservation. Editor-in-chief publishes the Annual Report on China's Building Energy Efficiency Research. He has won two National Science and Technology Invention Awards and two Science and Technology Progress Awards: Central Heating Regulation, Solution Humidity Control Air Conditioning, Indirect Evaporative Cooling, and Building Energy Consumption Simulation Software (DeST).
